Haemmorroids

Haemorrhoids -- my body doesn't have any; it works properly.

However, many people in India are beginning to suffer from haemorrhoids.

What is wrong is the pattern that many are using for eliminating waste. I have noticed that in many workplaces and offices, only sitting toilets are available but not squatting toilets.

This is the likely cause behind the increasing incidence of haemorrhoids in my country, especially among those who are working in the IT industry and offices of MNCs, where Western sitting toilets are the norm.

Medical science and common sense have taken a back seat; haemorroids will continue to be around if everyone abandon the use of squatting toilets in favour of sitting toilets.
